By Jestina George,
“Tanzania has taken the first step towards producing their first Premier League player – thanks to Eton College, England’s premier public school.
Eton Coach, Glen Pierce speaking at the press conference on Friday 10 Jan 2014 at Tanzania House London.
Together with Safarihub and charity organisation ACE Africa, Eton are sending Glen Pierce, head of sports, plus Ali Lyon, 19, Nicholas Zafirios, 18,  and Tom Pearson,18, who are on a gap year before starting university, to Tanzania to teach local children the finer arts of football.
Ali has already passed his  Level 1 Football Association coaching badge and the quartet cannot wait for the challenge ahead of them.
Coach Glen Pierce with Eton students who will be travelling to Tanzania, Nicolas Zafiriou, Ali Lyon and Tom Pearson
Pierce said: “We are about to embark on a wonderful trip. I have taught at Eton for 27 years and was offered the opportunity to take a sabbatical. This is an chance to see a new country with boys I tutored. We shall be going into schools to coach and to encourage kids to attend school through football. If they do not go to school they will not have this opportunity. We want to attract them to go to school and football is the icing on the cake. I hope the boys will be an encouragement to local kids.”
Eton was founded in 1440 and among the college’s more recent famous old boys are Prime Minister David Cameron, Mayor of London Boris Johnson, the Archbishop of Canterbury plus Prince Harry and Prince William, who Pierce taught.
Minister Counsellor  Amos Msanjila speaking Freddy Macha & Urban Pulse
Amos Msanjila, Minister Counselor of the High Commission, did not hide his pride about the venture. He said: “We are honoured to have the boys going because Eton is not a normal school. In Tanzania we do not have a culture of different schools, but I have been in England long enough to know which school you attend matters. Eton has produced 19 Prime Ministers so, as I said, it is not a normal school. The boys could have gone to any country in Africa, indeed in the world, and we have so much pleasure that they chose Tanzania.”
Director of  Safari Hub, Dilip Navapurkar  speaking at the press conference on Friday 10 Jan 2014 at Tanzania House London.
Dilip Navapurkar from Safarihub said: “I recently formed the company and one aim is to set up a pilot scheme to play football. We hope to see Tanzania qualify for the World Cup for the first time and produce some top-class Premier League footballers, but it will not happen overnight.
"Tanzania has the raw talent, it is our belief that we will one day produce players who will perform on the world's biggest stage."
John Collenette, chairman of ACE Africa and Future Stars Academy, said: “I have been in Tanzania for five years and I am particularly excited about this venture. Children have different problems to confront in their daily lives and we are committed to help them.”
High Commissioner Peter Kallaghe speaking at the press conference on Friday 10 Jan 2014 at Tanzania House London.
Peter Kallaghe, the High Commissioner, hosted a reception in London on Friday to announce the collaboration with Eton College and sent the football party away with his best wishes. He said:“We are greatly honoured by this initiative. We are fully behind a wonderful plan. Eton has produced 19 British Prime Ministers, maybe we have the 20th travelling to Tanzania this weekend."

A touching story from   Edouard Gheur  (A.K.A)  Papa Spyk, who was in films such as American Ninja, Tropical Heat and Red Scorpion has charted his experiences in his book A Naughty Thing called life.

Tell us briefly about yourself?
"I was born in Belgium on the 28th of June 1963 and grew up in Belgium, South Africa, Canada, Florida, Chile and am now living in Hastings, England." I played professional rugby I in South Africa for most of my life and after retiring was offered a lucrative modelling contract to model all over the world. I also acted and did stunt work on a few films over the next ten years. I then moved to Santiago Chile, as I got the lead role in a TV series being shot there. I signed up with the top modelling agency and started modelling in South America and here I met the lead actress, fell in love and got married.

Three months later… On July 13th 1997, I was cooking dinner in our house, when all of a sudden; it felt as if someone had just stabbed me through the heart with a huge knife. I had never felt such pain before and collapsed on the kitchen floor. I called for my wife who came running into the kitchen and I told her to call an ambulance as I thought I was having a heart attack. She thought I was kidding and went back to bed. A while later she woke up, panicking because I was not in bed next to her, and ran into the kitchen and found me ice cold with no pulse on the floor, she thought I was dead. She then called the police saying "My husband has just died on my kitchen floor". They came with an ambulance and they rushed me to hospital. At the hospital they discovered that I had had a severe heart attack and rushed me into the operating theater. Read more

NUMBER SEVEN LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WAS:

The Queen of comedy  Ms Anne Kansiime Ojok

Kansiime Anne is a BEFFTA Award winning  best comedian Kansiime Anne Ojok from Kampala Uganda.

She almost break our ribs with laughters. She is in deed the Queen of Comedy.

NUMBER EIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WAS:

This is the most heartbreaking story, Sporah was been moved to tears through out the interview. It is a story about  Kelvin, a 24 years old from  Kenya who is in the hospital present suffering from Leukaemia.

Kelvin needs a bone marrow transplant from an un-related ‘healthy' donor to beat the disease...

AN ‘URGENT’ APPEAL TO SAVE 24 YEAR OLD KEVIN’S LIFE! FROM KENYA.
I Had a Chance To Meet Kelvin's Mother On The Sporah Show And I must Say IT IS VERY VERY ‘URGENT

Kevin's MOTHER is deeply concerned the East African Community will not support a campaign by Kevin Kararwa to sign up new potential donors.
Historically very few East Africans have signed up to become potential donors; they either don't know, are fearful or have been misinformed about how simple it is to donate bone marrow cells.

Kevin Kararwa, a 24 year old Business Systems student, studied at University of Portsmouth for 4 years and lives in Morden South London.
In March 2012 Kevin started having a cold and flu like symptoms that was not healing. It lingered for 3 weeks. At the time Kevin was a student at the University of Portsmouth studying a 4 year degree in Business Systems and also working part time at Carphone Warehouse in Portsmouth.

NUMBER NINE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WAS:

Our top 5 goes to Mr David Mwanaka who is one of the only 2 black farmers in Britain and the only one producing white maize in Britain,

White maize close upDavid Mwanaka Fresh Farm Foods is the brainchild of David Wilfred Mwanaka, an award winning writer and journalist. Born in Zimbabwe,
David then started carrying out trials, growing white maize. After six years, David was confident he could grow white maize commercially in Britain. From such simple beginnings, helped by his wife Brenda and their three children Jonathan, Ruth and Miriam, the family now successfully grows white maize on a farm just outside London.
As from 2007 David came up with another new product in the UK. That is White Sweetcorn. White sweetcorn is so popular as an alternative to yellow sweetcorn.  Children love it and would advise you to put it on your list of 5 a Day health eating  For that reason it quickly found its way into shelves of chain store like Sainsbury’s and UK top stores like Harrods and Selfridges.

David grew up eating white maize. When he came to Britain in the early 1990's David was surprised to know that white maize was not grown or even known about. He missed eating white maize so much that he thought of growing the crop himself.

Sporah and Mr David Mwanaka

FINALLY NUMBER TEN LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WAS:

It was a privilege to have an Olympic London Marathon Gold Medalist Mr Stephen Kiprotich

Stephen Kiprotich(born 27 February 1989) is a Ugandan long-distance runner, born in Kapchorwa District. He is the 2012 Olympic champion in the marathon, with a winning time of 2:08:01 in hot, sunny, and humid conditions. This was the first Olympic medal for Uganda since 1996, the first gold medal since 1972, and the first ever in the marathon. His winning of the Moscow IAAF championship marathon on 17 August 2013 has made him the reigning World and Olympic marathon champion.

"My life has changed in several ways. Being invited to come and run in the London Marathon that's one of the things that's changed my life.
"I'm now a famous person in Uganda and UK and all over the world. I'm enjoying it," I want to use my new-found fame to improve facilities for young athletes at home.
