Conversation: Tanzania joined world largest online soccer game!
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Franc de Bok a student from The Netherlands and I’d like to bring you something to your
attention.
Since a week Tanzania has joined the community of Hattrick, http://www.hattrick.org , a free online soccer simulation game. It was the 120th nation to do so. Today nearly 1 million people around the world are part of Hattrick and the game has been mentioned in articles in newpapers in many countries.
In Hattrick you can manage your own football team, train players, transfer players, talk to other people in the much praised community. There are also the national teams in each country to which a player can be selected to play in the World Cup.
For the Hattrick community of Tanzania and their national teams it is really important that many people join hattrick and train players. People who join now, will play on a high level and
have a good opportunity to become the National Champion of Tanzania. At the moment 168 people in Tanzania can start a team, 16 people have decided to do so in less than a week.
As I am the National Coach of Tanzania Under 20’s, I’d love to help people with their questions. It would be great If your blog could run an article about this fascinating story of a global internet community around a football game.
We also made a promotional video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuOUQ0IQqjM in case you want to see some footage about it.
Thank you very much in advance,
more questions are very welcome,
Kind Regards,
Franc de Bok (nickname PolCaf-Bokmans)
